Since it was founded, CONTENOSA has been a ship agent for regular lines calling at the Port of Barcelona, representing such companies as: SEA LAND - SOMAT - KOCTUG - ESSO - SECIL MONTEMAR - CCNI - CIA TRASATLANTICA ESPAÑOLA.
As a result of this long-standing maritime tradition and acquired experience, today GRUPO CONTENOSA reaffirms its desire for maritime development in the sector, maintaining its initial expansion as regular-line ship agents and continuing to represent its own shipping lines. To achieve this aim, in 2007 GRUPO CONTENOSA created ITS OWN MARITIME LINE from Barcelona to the Canary Islands, becoming ship owners providing spaces for hire with direct service weekly departures to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Tenerife and the Islas Menores.
To back up this desire for growth and consolidation in the sector, GRUPO CONTENOSA has its own fleet of containers consisting of over 1,100 units in order to continue to provide its clients with an efficient, quality service.
